HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Chemical Market Reporter (CMR), a magazine with a 135-year history of covering the industry in the US, is being re-launched next week with a wider reach as ICIS Chemical Business Americas, its publisher will announce on Monday.
The re-branding follows extensive research and consultations with thousands of readers. The magazine will retain CMR's core content while increasing its coverage of European, Asian and Middle Eastern chemical markets and introducing new regular sections, including Environmental Affairs and Market Intelligence.
ICIS Chemical Business Americas editor Joseph Chang said the magazine will leverage the global strengths of its parent company ICIS, the world’s leading information provider for the global chemical industry.
“With more than 100 dedicated journalists on the ICIS team stationed around the world in New York, Houston, Washington D.C., London, Singapore, Shanghai, Mumbai and other regions, ICIS Chemical Business Americas will bring its readers unparalleled coverage of the chemical industry,” Chang said.
ICIS Chemical Business Americas will include analysis of key markets such as Commodities, Specialties, Pharmaceuticals/Fine Chemicals and Oils, Fats and Waxes, as well as Wall Street and Washington, he said. The magazine will also include special features on important issues, and publish regular summaries of chemical price movements as well as chemical profiles.
The new Environmental Affairs section will cover regulatory issues and corporate efforts, while the new Market Intelligence section will include analysis from ICIS industry experts. Future coverage will include special reports on logistics.
The magazine was originally published as Oil, Paint and Drug Reporter, starting in 1871.
ICIS is part of Reed Business Information (RBI), a division of Reed Business and a member of Reed Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher and information provider.
