Thailand’s Bangchak builds Baht15m biodiesel unit

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Bangchak Petroleum, a Thai oil company, said it is building a Baht15m ($402,197/€313,204) biodiesel plant in Bangkok.

The unit is currently under construction beside its refinery in Phrakanong, Bangkok and will be completed in early December, the company said.

Production capacity is 20,000 litres/day and it will provide biodiesel to the domestic market.

It will use technology developed by Songkhla University, with palm oil and soyabean oil as its feedstocks.
