SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--The Polyolefin Company (TPC), a Singapore-based polymers producer, is due to restart its low-density polyethylene/ethylene vinyl acetate (ldPE/EVA) swing plant on 19 September, a source close to the company said on Friday.

The 70,000 tonnes/year plant on Jurong Island was shut on 24 July for a turnaround and modification, the source said.

While its capacity is unchanged, the modified plant will be able to produce high vinyl acetate content EVA and ethyl methyl methacrylate (EMMA), in addition to ldPE and standard EVA grades, the source added.
