HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Hispanic farmers in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas are considering the emerging US biofuels industry as an alternative market for their crops, sources at the Minority Agriculture Producers said on Friday.
Donnie Valdez of the Weslaco, Texas-based group said members planned to meet in late September to discuss forming a co-operative and begin work on risk assessments for biofuels plants.
