PARIS (ICIS news)--The European Union (EU) Council of Ministers has approved a lower rate of anti-dumping duty for an Indian polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film producer, according to Council meeting minutes released on Tuesday.

SRF Ltd of New Delhi will now be charged just 3.5% on its exports to the EU, ministers agreed on Monday.

This was much less than the 17.3% standard rate charged, and followed acceptance by the European Commission that SRF was a new exporter whose sales were not among the cut-priced product that initially sparked the duties.
