JJ-Lurgi to build Singapore biodiesel plants

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Australia’s Natural Fuel has awarded Malaysia’s JJ-Lurgi Engineering a contract to build its 600,000 tonnes/year biodiesel plants in Jurong Island, Singapore, the company said late on Sunday.

The renewable energy group has plans for three 200,000 tonnes/year units and three associated pharma grade glycerin distillation plants.

The new facilities are expected to be completed within the third quarter of next year.

JJ-Lurgi Engineering is a joint venture between Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) and Lurgi AG of Germany.
