SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Nexsol’s 100,000 tonnes/year biodiesel unit in Johor will be operational by May next year, an official from Kulim said on Thursday.

Nexsol, a joint venture between Malaysia’s Kulim and Peter Cremer (Singapore), has planned to invest RM50m ($13.6m/€10.6m) for their first biodiesel unit at Biofuel Park in Tanjung Langsat port, Johor, Malaysia.

Its second 100,000 tonnes/year unit to be built at Singapore’s Jurong Island will be delayed, he said, but did not give any reason behind the planned postponement.

ICIS news earlier reported that the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for the Singapore unit has been awarded to Rotary Engineering.
