TOKYO (ICIS news)--Japanese chemicals firm Kureha is to increase the production capacity of its carbon fibre processing plant in Shanghai by around 40% to 120 tonnes/year, a company spokesman said on Tuesday.
He did not say when construction would start or reveal the start-up date of the plant, which currently has a capacity of 80 tonnes/year.
The upgrade is in response to the rapidly-growing demand of the product for application in insulation materials, the spokesman added.
