LONDON (ICIS news)--Nova Innovene’s Ribecourt, France, expandable polystyrene (EPS) plant will undergo a maintenance shutdown during the second half of December, a company source said on Thursday.
The 90,000 tonne/year unit will close for routine works for around two weeks, the source said, although exact dates had not been confirmed.
Industry officials expected the shutdown to put further pressure on already tight European EPS supply.
November European EPS prices were assessed in a €1,570-1,620/tonne free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) range, according to global chemical intelligence service ICIS pricing.
