LONDON (ICIS news)--Gadot Chemical Tankers and Terminals has acquired 100% of the shares in Dutch distributor Bax Chemicals for an undisclosed sum, the Israeli company said on Monday.

Gadot said the previous owner of Bax, Andre Bil, would continue to manage the company for the next two years, cooperating with existing Gadot subsidiary GCP Netherlands.

“Bax has a good stronghold with its clients in Western Europe and an export geography which complements our own," said Gadot deputy general manager Mati Johananoff.

"We hope it can grow with our support,” he added.

Based in Spierdijk, the Netherlands, Bax Chemicals supplies the synthetics processing industry, the pharmaceutical industry and ink, paint and lacquer manufacturers with over 160,000 tonnes of chemicals a year.
