LONDON (ICIS news)--Akzo Nobel said on Tuesday its pulp and paper chemicals business, Eka Chemicals, has doubled its production capacity in China, opening a new plant close to the Pearl River Delta port in Guangzou province.
Akzo invested €4m-5m ($5.3m-$6.6m) in the facility, which will produce chemicals for the rapidly expanding Chinese paper industry along with the company’s existing plant in ?xml:namespace>
The company would not disclose the capacity of either plant.
