TORONTO (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical has ended its North American plastics distribution agreement with Ashland as of 1 March 2007, Ashland said on Monday.

Dow’s termination is for North America only, but Ashland did not rule out that its plastics distribution contract with Dow in Europe may also be impacted at some point.

Kentucky-based Ashland purchased $170m (€128m) worth of plastic products in fiscal 2006 under the North American agreement. Purchases under the European distribution agreement were $60m, the company said.
