BASF acquires Austrian paint activities

LONDON (ICIS news)--BASF Coatings has taken over major parts of Austrian paints distributor Autolacke Handel for an undisclosed sum, the company said on Tuesday.

 

Autolacke Handel’s sales activities in automotive refinish paints and non-paint products, with 18, employees, will be integrated into BASF Coatings in Eugendorf, Austria.

 

Last week BASF took over activities from Billakksenteret, a paints distributor operating in Norway.

 

A spokesman from BASF Coatings said the company was considering similar acquisitions throughout Europe.

 

Autolacke Handel belongs to the Ludwig Christ Group.
