LONDON (ICIS news)--A power cut on Tuesday impacted derivative units at Tarragona, Spain, but Dow's 660,000 tonne/year cracker was unaffected, a company source said on Thursday.

The derivative units, which included Dow's polyethylene (PE) production at the site, were said to be in the process of restarting but this could not be confirmed directly.

Repsol also operates a 660,000 tonne/year cracker in Tarragona but it was not immediately clear whether the power cut had any impact on its operations.
