LONDON (ICIS news)--Linde more than doubled its operating profits before depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in 2006 to €3.83bn ($5.04bn), the German industrial gases group said on Friday.

Sales increased by 31% to €12.44bn, with both figures benefiting from the acquisition of UK industrial gases group BOC during the financial year.

Excluding BOC earnings and adjustments for special items, EBITDA was up 10% to  €1.88bn.

Sales increased by 10.6% adjusted for first time consolidation of BOC to €10.52bn.

Linde will present detailed information on the 2006 financial year at its annual press conference in on 12 March in Munich.

Group share’s rose 0.86% in early trading to €76.43 (09:34 GMT).
