SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Saudi Aramco is scheduled to shut down facilities at its 550,000 bbl/day Ras Tanura refinery towards the end of April, an industry source said on Wednesday.
The shutdown was expected to start on 26 April and continue until mid-May. The units affected include a 225,000 bbl/day condensate splitter and up to 325,000 bbls/day of crude distillation capacity.
Associated secondary units, including a 50,000 bbl/day hydrocracker and a reforming unit, will also be shut down.
Ras Tanura is the most complex of Saudi Aramco’s five domestic refineries, with most of the refinery’s production allocated for domestic use.
