SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Global Bioenergy Resources planned to expand the capacity of its Port Klang, Selangor plant to 200,000 tonnes/year after relocating it to Kuantan, east coast of peninsula Malaysia, a company source said on Wednesday.

The land at its current location on the west coast could not accommodate the expansion, he said.

The plant, which has a current capacity of 36,000 tonnes/year, will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2008, the source added.

He declined to provide financial details of the expansion project.
