LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS has submitted the planning application for its proposed 500,000 tonne/year biodiesel plant in Grangemouth, Scotland, the UK chemical firm said on Wednesday.
Due to go on line in mid-2008, the €90m ($120m) project forms part of the company’s strategy to produce 2m tonnes/year of the sustainable fuel by 2012, said INEOS in a statement.
Planning consent for the development was being sought from Falkirk Council, with a decision expected by early summer.
