The country produced 73,550 tonnes of polystyrene in March, up from 64,387 tonnes in February.
This was a 16% increase from the year-ago period, the association said.
Exports of polystyrene in March rose 21% to 3,333 tonnes from 2,758 tonnes in February.
This was a 57% increase from the same time a year ago.
The association said the country’s styrene monomer (SM) output in March was 288,253 tonnes, about the same level as 287,062 tonnes month-on-month and a 32% increase year-on-year.
March exports of styrene monomer rose 7% to 138,226 tonnes from 129,153 tonnes in February and increased 35% from March 2006.
