SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Punj Lloyd, India’s engineering construction company, said on Thursday that it has secured a $44.9m (€33.2m) contract with Qatar's Ras Laffan Olefins.
The contract will allow Punj Lloyd to build dense phase ethylene (C2) and butene pipelines between Ras Laffan and
The pipelines will be used to supply ethylene from the steam cracker, which will start operation in 2008 with a design capacity of 1.3m tonne/year of ethylene, in Ras Laffan to Qatar Chemical II (Q-Chem II) and Qatofin’s plants in Mesaieed.
Ras Laffan Olefins is a joint venture (JV) of Q-Chem II, Qatofin and Qatar Petroleum.
