ExxonMobil Texas cracker up next week - sources

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--ExxonMobil’s Beaumont ethylene crackerin Texas was expected to be operational next week following an extended turnaround, market sources said on Friday.

The 827,000 tonne/year unit was being re-commissioned following maintenance, the company said in a filing to Texas regulators. ExxonMobil has not confirmed details about when the unit would return to normal rates.

The US company also said it was expanding the unit’s feedstock flexibility during the turnaround.
