SINGAPORE (ICIS new)--Industrial gas major Air Liquide has entered a long-term agreement with Dongbei Special Steel to install a new air separation unit in Dalian, China, said the Paris-listed company on Thursday.
Air Liquide will invest more than €20m ($27.3m) in the unit, which would be commissioned in mid-2008, said Air Liquide.
This unit would have an oxygen production capacity of 500 tonnes/day, supplying gaseous oxygen, nitrogen and argon by pipeline to the ?xml:namespace>
The unit would also be able to produce 200 tonnes/day of liquid product, which would enable Air Liquide to develop the local industrial market, the company said.
