LONDON (ICIS news)--Petkim’s cracker at Aliaga will shut down for 17 days in May for scheduled maintenance, a company source at the Turkish petrochemicals company said on Thursday.

Output at the 520,000 tonne/year unit will go down from 14 May and, as a result, estimated operating rates at the plant were put at 50% for the month as a whole, the source said.

Rates were assessed at 99% for April, with the minor reduction caused by a steam outage, the source added.
