LONDON (ICIS news)--Dow’s combined production of 320,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 280,000 tonnes/year of styrene at its Boehlen site in Germany is in the restart phase following the cracker start-up, a company source said on Friday.

The aromatics production shutdown followed the course of the 510,000 tonne/year cracker turnaround from 5 April until 25 April, when it was restarted.

Full cracker output is expected to be reached by Saturday 28 April, and aromatics production should follow shortly afterwards, the source added.
