SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Air Liquide, a French industrial gases supplier, said on Monday its subsidiary has won a contract to supply oxygen and nitrogen to Shell’s cracker and monoethylene glycol (MEG) projects.
Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide Pte Ltd (SOXAL) will invest in a new 1,200 tonne/day air separation unit to be integrated with its existing five units and pipeline network in ?xml:namespace>
This new unit was expected to be on stream by the third quarter of 2009, it added, without giving the cost of the unit.
This success has also enabled SOXAL to renew a number of existing agreements with Shell’s joint-venture petrochemical companies, it said.
