HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US polypropylene (PP) exports in the first three months of 2007 rose by 62.3% over the same period in 2006, according to data that the US International Trade Commission released on Thursday.
US PP exports were 523,230 tonnes in the first three months of 2007, as compared with the 322,477 tonnes exported during the same period in 2006.
US exports to China rose 251% to 126,497 tonnes in January-March 2007 from 36,030 tonnes in January-March 2006, according to the commission's data.
Other key importers of US PP the first three months of 2007 were Mexico, with 150,323 tonnes, and Canada, with 84,432 tonnes.
