HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) exports in the first three months of 2007 rose by 71.2% over the same period in 2006, according to data released on Thursday by the US International Trade Commission.
US LLDPE exports were 166,529 tonnes in the first three months of 2007, as compared with the 97,264 tonnes exported during the same period in 2006.
US exports to China rose 487% to 42,875 tonnes in January-March 2007 from 7,300 tonnes in January-March 2006, according to the commission's data.
Other key importers of US LLDPE the first three months of 2007 were Mexico with 54,450 tonnes and Canada with 14,018 tonnes.
