China Man-made Fibre fined for emissions breach

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwanese producer China Man-made Fibre said on Friday it will be fined Taiwan dollars (NT) $100,000 ($3,004) for exceeding organic compounds emission standards.

 

The leak occurred at its nonyl phenol plant in Kaohsiung, it said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

 

The company added that it would take measures to control and monitor future emissions.
