LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS Olefins on Tuesday declared force majeure on supplies of ethylene, propylene and butadiene from its Grangemouth, UK, site due to unexpected maintenance work on its G4 cracker.

INEOS said it identified additional work during a scheduled maintenance shutdown, putting the cracker out of action for an extra three months.

“Discussions are taking place between INEOS product managers and external and internal customers on the allocation of contracted production,” said the company in a statement.

INEOS Olefins's G4 cracker went down on 14 April for seven weeks of planned maintenance.
