Samsung wins deal to build Saudi ammonia plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s Samsung Engineering has won a $946m (€700m) deal from Saudi Arabian Mining to build an ammonia production plant in Saudi Arabia, a company source said on Wednesday.
The order called for Samsung to build the facility within 43 months, he said.
The facility will produce 3,300 tonnes/day (1.09m tonnes/year) of ammonia, the source added.
This deal adds to the amines project that Saudi’s Kayan Petrochemical awarded to South Korea’s leading industrial construction builder earlier this week.
