INEOS’ CIL expands polymer processing capacity

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--INEOS films’ subsidiary Caprihans India Limited (CIL) has expanded its production capacity for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rigid films and polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) coating in Maharashtra state, the company said on Friday.

 

CIL did not provide any further information which were completed in January-March of this year.

 

In its annual report for 2005-06, CIL stated that these projects would help the company increase exports and reduce dependence on the domestic market, which accounted for 90% of its sales.

 

CIL manufactures both rigid and flexible PVC films and multi-polymer extruded sheets at its plants at Nasik and Thane in Maharashtra.

 

Germany’s INEOS Films GmbH has 51% equity stake in the company.
