HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Coal gasification company Synthesis Energy Systems has entered into a joint venture to build two plants in Inner Mongolia, China, the company said on Wednesday.
One plant will produce 84,000 normal cubic metres/hour of synthesis gas, to be used as feedstock for a second plant that will produce 225,000 tons/year of methanol and 150,000 tons/year of dimethyl ether (DME), the company said. Financial terms were not disclosed
A subsidiary, Synthesis Energy Systems Investments, established the venture with Inner Mongolia Golden Concord (Xilinhot) Energy, a subsidiary of Golden Concord Holdings.
The joint venture will be called SES-GCL (Inner Mongolia) Coal Chemical.
