HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe extruder PW Eagle said on Wednesday that federal regulators will allow the company to complete its merger with a subsidiary of J-M Manufacturing.

PW Eagle shareholders approved the merger in April. However, a waiting period was imposed by the US Federal Trade Commission, in accordance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act of 1976, PW said.

The waiting period has expired, and PW said it expects to complete the merger in the second quarter of 2007.

PW Eagle extrudes PVC pipes. Its subsidiary, USPoly, makes polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings. J-M is also a pipe manufacturer.
