SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) posted an 8.3% rise in its revenue for petrochemicals for May on Thursday, compared with the same period a year ago.?xml:namespace>
Revenue for the petrochemicals sector, which include olefins and pygas, rose to New Taiwan dollars (NT$) 14.2bn ($428.7m), from NT$13.1bn in May 2006, the refiner said in a statement on its website.
For the first five months of the year, its petrochemicals revenue rose 12.9% to NT$63.7bn, compared with the same period a year ago.
FPCC’s revenue is expected to rise further in the second half of 2007 as the company started up its No 3 cracker, also ?xml:namespace>
