BP launches Texas City accident investigation

LONDON (ICIS news)--An investigation has been launched into an accident which killed a contract worker at BP’s
The worker for AMEX Electrical Services suffered a fatal injury while on the job late Tuesday afternoon, the company said in a statement.
He was working on an idle unit that is being reconditioned prior to restart.
“We are deeply saddened by this accident and the resulting loss of life and have immediately begun an investigation into the incident,” BP said.

This will be one of the first major challenges faced by his successor Tony Hayward.
