MUMBAI (ICIS news)--Dutch logistics group Royal Vopak has agreed a deal with the Puma Group to acquire the recently built terminal in Suape, northeast Brazil, the company said on Wednesday.
The facility in Pernambuco state serves petroleum products and ethanol exports. The transaction is expected to be complete by 1 August, 2007.
The company said there are future plans for a new refinery in Suape which will stimulate further development of the local chemical industry.
Vopak's acquisition enlarges its current network in Brazil and coverage of Latin America, the company said in a statement.
