Airgas acquires California gas supplier

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Airgas said on Monday it has acquired Lehner & Martin, (L&M), a Santa Ana, California-based industrial gas and welding supply distributor.

Airgas did not disclose the cost of the acquisition. L&M generated sales of more than $13m (€9.6m)in the fiscal year ended 31 March.

The L&M operations have been integrated into Airgas West, one of the regional companies that make up Airgas' distribution business.

The transaction was the fifth acquisition completed since the start of Airgas' fiscal 2008 on 1 April, with total acquired sales topping $378m, including the Linde US packaged gas acquisition.
