SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Mitsubishi Chemical will shut its No1 330,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Indonesia between 5 August and 9 September for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

“The line will be stopped for about one month,” said the source. No supply disruption to customers are expected, as “the company is well covered in terms of inventories”, he added.

The company operates another 330,000 tonne/year PTA line at the same Indonesian site. There were no shutdown plans for this unit.
