SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Shanghai Golden Phillips Petrochemical started a 30-day planned turnaround of its 150,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) line in Shanghai on Tuesday, a company source said, with prices rising due to scarcity. ?xml:namespace>
Blow moulding grade HDPE, the company’s major product, continued to edge up. Distributors were heard selling the material at about yuan (CNY) 13,000/tonne ($1,711/tonne) ex-warehouse in east ?xml:namespace>
The shutdown was in line with the turnaround of the source of its feedstock ethylene supplier, Shanghai Petrochemical’s (SPC) No 1 cracker.
