SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Oriental Union Chemical Co (OUCC) plans to shut its 250,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol plant in Taiwan’s largest city Kaohsiung, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The shutdown between mid-September and early October will last for about three weeks.
“The plant is scheduled for a turnaround starting 11 September and ending very early October,” the source said.
Contractual supplies are not expected to be disrupted, with customers’ needs being met by inventories held by the company, added the source.
