US firm to supply process tech for China PE plant

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--A US technology company will provide the process technology for a 300,000 tonne/year polyethylene (PE) plant to be built in China, the company said on Friday.
Univation Technologies said its process will be used to produce linear low density PE (LLDPE) and high-density PE (HDPE) for the plant in Baotou, China, being built by Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical.
The plant is scheduled for start up in 2010, Univation said.By: Al Greenwood
