India’s L&T bags $177.75m worth of Gulf contracts

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--Indian engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said on Monday that it has won four engineering contracts totalling $177.75m from Gulf projects including a gas-to-liquids (GTL) development.

The company said it secured a $44.95m order from Paris-based Technip for the manufacture and supply of 10 pre-assembled process modules for handling and processing gas at Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co’s facilities at Das Island in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It has bagged a $51.6m order for supply of a naphtha hydrotreater and reformer from oil processing company Emirates National Oil Company in Dubai, also in the UAE.

In Qatar, L&T has secured a $36.4m contract for the supply of a liquid processing unit to the Qatar Petroleum-Shell Pearl GTL joint venture project, while it also won a $44.8m contract from Oil Tanking Company in Oman, it added.
