MOVES: New CEO for Swiss drug company Roche

LONDON (ICIS news)--Swiss pharmaceuticals firm the Roche Group announced today that Severin Schwan will succeed Franz Humer as CEO.

Schwan is currently CEO of Roche Diagnostics.

Humer, who is presently CEO and chairman, will remain as Roche Group chairman and also become chairman of Diageo, the UK spirits group.

Humer said in a statement that the board had decided to separate the chairman and CEO roles because of the increasing complexity of the tasks involved.
