Russia's Silvinit ups H1 potash output by 6%

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Russia's Silvinit produced 2.7m tonnes of potash in January-June or 6% up year-on-year, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

 

OAO Silvinit, based in Solikamsk, Perm region, the Urals, controls 40% of the Russian potash market and exports roughly 80% of its output.

 

Silvinit had previously planned to produce 5m tonnes/year only by 2008.
