SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Formosa Chemicals and Fibre Corp said on Wednesday it was fined New Taiwan dollar (NT$) 30,000 ($913) for a safety breach at its No 1 aromatics plant in Mailiao.
The Council of Labour Affairs discovered during checks that the Taiwanese major failed to get approvals for its high pressure equipment after their usage has expired, it added in a statement to the local stock exchange.
FCFC said it will carry out regular checks on its equipment in the future.
