HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical is in discussions to overcome problems at its joint venture petrochemical project in Oman, CEO Andrew Liveris said on Thursday.
Dow announced in 2004 that it formed the Oman Petrochemicals Industry Co venture with Oman Oil Company and the Sultanate of Oman.
The project is delayed, not cancelled, said Liveris, adding that the hold-up was due to gas supplies and capital costs, he said.
"We will find a viable project in the medium term," Liveris said.
