HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Brazil’s REDUC refinery, which is operated by Petrobras in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro state, has restarted after a blaze knocked out propylene production earlier this month, according to the Reuters news wire on Monday.
At the time ofthe fire, Suzano Petroquimica said polypropylene (PP) production might be affected by the incident, due to an interruption in the feedstock supply.

The PP producer usually buys feedstock to run its plants from Braskem, Latin America's largest petrochemical company, when there is an unexpected shortage, according to sources in the industry.
