SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan-based Chinese Petroleum Company (CPC) will close an isomer grade xylene buy tender for a 10,000 tonne September parcel at midnight Taiwan time, said a company official on Thursday.

The tender was announced for two cargoes of 5,000 tonnes for September delivery, the source said, adding negotiations would be completed the next day.

The company could have a similar requirement for isomer grade xylene for October but had not decided the volume yet, the source said.

Some key end-users of isomer grade xylene in Asia are Korea’s KP Chemicals and Taiwan-based Formosa Chemical and Fibre Corporation (FCFC).
