Tupras H1 net profit up 89% on refining high

PRAGUE (ICIS news)--First-half net profit at Tupras increased by 89% to lira (TL) 609m (€341/$471m) compared with the same period last year, the Turkish refining and petrochemicals group said on Tuesday.

 

An all-time first half refining high of 12.5m tonnes of crude oil was a substantial factor in the gains, said Tupras.

 

Net sales climbed 12.5 percent to TL10.1bn.

 

Tupras also gave an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) figure of TL627.5m, up 37%.
