US Eastman to sell two European plants - report

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US Eastman Chemical said on Monday that it had no comment in regards to a report that Spanish chemical company La Seda de Barcelona made a €180m ($250m) offer to purchase two plants in Europe.

The plants in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Workington, UK, make polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and purified terephthalate acid (PTA), according to unconfirmed reports from Thomson Financial News.
